Lyrics

Infamous Karaoke Star

I hear the night life waking, i see the sunshine failing, tower block eyes blinking, with their inside choking, buses try to get a glance into my chicken pen, but the night dogs are watching keeping an eye on them behind the row of ladies  with their no-hope crazes and their trendy phrases and their plucked out personalities there might be a light switch worth a flick and there’s a need for attention  worth showing the whole of the nation when ten minutes on the big screen  doesnt make you worth a damn thing there’s a vanity addiction to quite well the walls are so thin  they let the outside in i know whats going on out there  more than i do of what within and there’s this moaning sound that is residing in my ear because there’s a prowler near don’t let it smell your fear mister jack in the box peers out of his cell block twenty miles upon a conveyer belt he wants to be the next office heart- melt I’m a little bunny headlights beaming right infront of me oh the roads a little to wide  can I get to the other side? well the walls are so thin  they let the outside in i know whats going on out there  more than i do of what within and there’s this moaning sound that is residing in my ear because there’s a prowler near who let the prowler in? the eternal childone more stick in your side you look younger when your drunk its gonna be a white christmas  when your all coked up holding onto a shadow  of a distant cowboy hope the dreams of a lifetime dont just pass you by because there is a street near you  where you cant but what you want and you certainly cant find the answers or an inch of sympathy under the cravings of greed In that bar with the infamous karaoke star in that club where the music is spoon fed in that house where you sit scratching your fat belly raw where the TV has been left on so long your eyes are saw  or your boiling the kettle  or your baking a bun in the oven  or your breaking the foundations  on which your family is governed  over loaded with items that make your life easy-living I am so glad I’v got a car I dont have to walk very far…. because there is a street near you  where you cant but what you want and you certainly cant find the answers or an inch of sympathy under the cravings of greed

I got the blues today i got the bues today  watching the autumn leaves blow away i got the blues, i got the blues for you just like i aught to do I caught the sun today and watched all my thoughts blow away i see the rays, into the the sun, i go  i hope to burn up the road break take this old face to your chest, and tell me you loved me best run your love through my hair ( now we are old  just like you said) you and i are love it goes on  beyond the bonds which we have broken (once we are dead when we are gone) I feel your weight on me lift like an anchor out of the sea I loved you best, i loved you more than you could ever test  more than i eva did suggest i touched the air today watching the edge of the earth fall away i disappeared, all i could hear. was you telling me i was beautiful i got the blues today knowing that time only runs one way i got the blues i got the blues for you its all too late its true

We will go right down underneath and even if we are lucky- transcend the flesh baby take your place on earth while you still can,  break your bread instead of getting ahead,  you are safe, no one is watching you your anonymous even when they do dance to death with Nostradamus as the party host predicting when the world will blow, and every note rings a chapel bell the march to hell, inside your heart will fall apart, shaken by life- your pelvis shook like elvis until you you had your hip replaced and eyes didn’t care-with all the ghosts around they only found excuses not to hear
